My answer: Provided Demetrius of Acts 19:24 was Greek, my answer is: People whom Paul met and whom Luke mentions in Acts: A. Apollos; B. Aquila & Priscilla; C. Demetrius. If not: I can find no answer satisfying all of A, B, & C based on the KJV Bible alone.
Considerations: Apollos and Paul both fit options A and B. Demetrius may possibly fit B and C. Aquila and Priscilla fits B perfectly, and perhaps A as well (Rom 16:3-4; 1 Cor 16:19.)
Details:
A. Apollos was a "fervent" preacher in the early church who stayed with Aquila and Priscilla in Ephesus, who were tent makers and who had been housing Paul in Corinth "because he was of the same craft... tentmaker..." Why did they also take in Apollos, because of Paul or because Apollos also was perhaps a tentmaker? Apollos was a Jew born in Alexandria, Egypt who came to Ephesus and then passed into Achaia, Greece. But that doesn't make him either Greek nor siversmith, does it? Acts 18:18, 24-28; 19:1.
B. Paul, Aquila, Priscilla were tentmakers (Acts 18:2-3) and Paul aided the other apostles while also himself being reckoned as one of them. Aquila certainly aided the apostle Paul (Romans 16:3.) Demetrius aided John, the apostle - 3 John v. 12. Apollos certainly did aid the apostles - 1 Cor. 3:4-6; 16:12.
C. Demetrius was a silversmith in Ephesus, Turkey - Acts 19:24. The name Demetrius sounds Greek, but that is no guarantee that he was Greek, is it?
