I know i need help. I am talking so much with myself inside my head that sometimes i can have spontaneous conversations with myself. It s scary to have a part of you suddenly speaking and suggesting things like it s from some sort of external source. I am afraid to go crazy sometimes. I have nowhere to go, except this place. Please pray for me, i need your prayers.

I am such a worthless being, why would God want to invest in me? i am the most stupid being alive...

TS- the fact that you are concerned about this is evidence that God has not forsaken you. His Holy Spirit is also working on your heart.

I'm glad that you come here to chat with us, your friends. It helps to get some feedback from someone who is not distressed. You have more than just your own thoughts to communicate with!

Hang on to the hope that God IS working with you. As you pray to Him for guidance and ask questions from those here who are at peace, you will gain answers.

Your right, I believe that EGW tells us that Jesus does not like it when we call ourselves stupid or any other thing. I believe it was her, maybe someone else can tell us if this is true.

truthseeker, You stated your condition, and you asked for prayers. That is not stupid. I have prayed for you, and I'm sure the others have too. Now you pray and ask God to give you the desire to quit the pot smoking. It's pretty hard to give up if you don't really want to, I know, because I smoked it for years. I used to think it made me play my guitar better.

I also drank like a fish. One night after drinking non stop for several days, I had become sick and couldn't get the alcohol to stay down anymore. I asked God to help me. I didn't know that I would start reading my Bible and spending quiet time with God everyday, I just knew I needed help. But that is what I did and still do. It's a daily thing. If I start my day off that way, it put's me in the right frame of mind, and there is a joy and a peace of mind that comes as a by product.

Give it a try. Ask for the willingness, because this too comes from God. .....Let us know how you are doing. God will do for you, what you can't do for your self.

This post alone tells me you are not beyond hope.

You're at where I was 30 years ago - except I didn't have a good group of friends to appeal to like you do here.

Number 1 - you are NOT worthless. Your value is that which you read about in each Gospel - that of the Cross. He did this while seeing you as you are now. He loves you that much - so you cannot be worthless.

Number 2 - God invest Himself in you simply because He looked through time and saw you, stoned, sitting in front of your computer and writing your feelings about your experience right now.

His same reason for you is the same He had for me when I was wasting my life away with booze and drugs as well.

Number 3 - you're reaching out, and know what you're doing isn't quite what the Lord has in mind about the abundant life. You are most definitely NOT stupid.

My short testimony - when I was at where you are now, it took me a while to come to the Lord with my frailty. I prayed for the Word to be free from the desire for intoxicants. Seemed like my prayers just hit the ceiling for months. Continued praying. And praying. When I was at my lowest, I tried what I thought was so very presumptious - I believed His word was true for even a sinner as myself, and would actually set me free - and it did. The next day I had no appetite for the stuff - and have been free to serve for over 24 years since.

If He cared for me that much, He cares for you to.

I ve been defeated. I don t like the gospel anymore. They say you are saved by grace, but in fact you are saved by the law, good works and grace. I will never achieve this standard of living. I tried very hard and sincerely, But it was a waste of time. I fail to meet up to the law everytime. So i just give up, furthermore God doesn t answer my prayers. Yesterday i went to the hookers, but i got a girlfriend so i changed my mind.

To me christianity is the biggest joke in the universe. It not only causes division and bloodshed, also it is impossible to be saved, ironically that s the main theme of christianity. God doesn t want us, any of us, maybe some of us. He picks and chooses his favorite people and award them with everlasting life, at the same time he makes it appear that whosoever believes in him will have everlasting life. The cross was probably a face-saving device towards the rest of the universe. The uprising of the devil is pure evil and probably a mixture of selfish motives and the conviction that God is not righteous. I disagree with the selfish motives but i agree on the fact that God cannot be righteous. If he were righteous he would have created robots that act just like people to see what happens when we abandon the law. AHh well i am glad that soon it will be all over.
