Club Adventist
Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

Am I only one who think it is weird that so many Pro-life people are Pro-death after people are born i.e. death penalty, wars , etc.

AND that so many, 'on the other side' are ok with killing fetuses, yet are against killing folks after they are born, in things like wars and death penalty?

People who just follow the 'party line' are well... (add your own word here)

Even Bonny, my pet goldfish is confused on this one..

Those that are "Pro-life" view their position as protecting innocent life. Convicted criminals do not fall into that category. I don't think they "like" war but see it as a necessary evil under certain circumstances.

Those that are "Pro-Choice" do not view fetuses as being alive. In fact, one member here says until the doctor slaps the baby's butt and it breathes its first breath, it is not alive.

My first reply disappeared, so will try again!

You simply need to understand the definition of "Pro Life" and then you will have your question answered. bwink

God has directed many a war on this earth and provided direct assistance to many more.

How do you know that God didn't direct GWB to do what he did?

All wars are Hell.

While I recognize that seldom is Truth revealed by a hypothetical, it was brought to my attention that there might be some positions for pro-choice being led to change if Mary, the mother of Jesus, had chosen to abort the Child in her. She had many plausible reasons for doing so. Her reputation as a chaste virgin, her Son's recognized reputation as an illegitimate Child, her betrothed Joseph's reputation as letting down the temple's reqirements for his wife's behavior.
And if they, the pro-choice adherents, admit that the fetus was not Jesus in the womb, then Mary had the right to choose to destroy the coming Savior of the world without eternal consequences. Of course we can be happy she was a pro-life adherent, especially since that Life held the future of all for eternity.

I wonder how many gifts of God have been withheld from the human race because men have felt their own interests of more importance than the unborn.
Regards! peace

Powerful thought to consider. The count must be in the millions, sad to say.

I am 'pro life' and 'pro choice'! I really resent the way the two terms are used to characterize persons in an attempt to create right and wrong. They are just 'labels' used to polarize thoughts with out allowing any coherent dialog!!

I too am pro-life and pro-choice but I guess I don't have too much heartburn with labels since so many people use them it is just how we communicate.
