I can t help feeling that many Christians are afraid to question God his policy. Is it wrong to strive to reason, understanding and enlightment? Is heaven a place where people at least have some autonomy for themselves? I mean like a house or something, or is it like a Communist system in which God determines everything? In the bible it seems like if you question God s policy, righteousness etc., he ll destroy you immediatly. Am i the only one with these kind of thoughts???

I think God will allow for individuality, where someone likes one type of ice cream flavor over another. I think if you want to live in a cave instead of a mansion, He'll let you. Pick some lilacs instead of tulips - hey, go for it. But God will not let the sin in the form of any type of pridefulness or presumptuousness back into heaven. Look what it did once. Why would He ever consider letting that happen again??

Truthseeker, it is even better than you think!

Isaiah 1:18 quotes the Lord: "Come now, and let us reason together."

God is not afraid to reason. I think where the problem lies is when we humans believe ourselves to be the ultimate authority on things and won't acknowledge God as being far beyond us. That is our self talking :) and God knows our hearts even better than we know ourselves!

He will be patient to your questions. There are many people in the world who are asking "Why?". Some of them won't receive their answer until they reach heaven and all the information is opened to them.

Some people are not willing to sit still and listen.

Agreed. And why would any of us, who've seen what sin results in, want to go that way, anyway? It seems like we would have made up our minds by this time.

Yes John, but what if you are made with the temptation of sinning constantly around the corner. Existence would be an eternal struggle. IN other words heaven would be hell and hell would be salvation from heaven...

John Lomacang, on 3ABN, made a great analogy about sin and choice.

He had a $1 bill, a $5 bill, a $10, a $20, a $50 and a $100 bill in his hand.

He called the $1 bill sin and put it away.

What was left was all the good choices, without the bad.

Nobody would have chosen sin ($1 bill) anyway...

I don't believe TS that we will be tempted as we are now. But as John says I don't think we will want to.

Truthseeker, all those sinful tempting urges will be healed in Heaven. No longer will we humans be tortured by those.

And guess what? You are not alone, for we ALL have the temptation of sinning every day. It is only Christ that even offers refuge and relief from that. Even as we grow in Him we will always have some better days and some worse days, but in Heaven there will be NO MORE of that! No more torture!

Nothing else can promise that. Sin's only answer to itself is death.
