For the past number of years, "Christian Rumourmongers" have slanderously claimed 3ABN's accounting department was not competent and was in violation of IRS regulations.

When asked by myself, what kind of financial academic studies the Rumourmongers had, silence was their response.

Last week the IRS concluded their audit of both 3ABN and Danny Shelton of ANY wrong doing.

They were not cited for one infraction.
They were totally exonerated.
No negotiations with the IRS were needed.
They do not have to pay anything to the IRS.
The IRS even apologized for the inconvenience.

Should those who caused this pay for the expenses 3ABN had with regard to the audit? Probably, will they? I doubt it.

Will the Rumourmongers apologize? I doubt that as well, will they create new conspiracies and excuses? probably, time will reveal that.

This reminds me of so many Church Business meetings, and Conference Sessions, those who make the most noise usually have never given significantly to support the organization in question.

What about Linda? This is my opinion.
If those who gave so much energy to taking down 3ABN because of their love and respect for Linda, would have used that to help build her ongoing Ministry, she would have been much better off. Now, I doubt, if a Conference, or other Adventist Media, would hire her, and that is such a waste of her talents and gifts.

Much of the above is reliable information right from the source, some of it is my opinion, not my kids, spouse, employer, plants or pet rock, my Goldfish, however shares the same opinion.

I would like to thank Stan for his unwavering stance in avoiding, so far as possible, the conjecture and spreading of tales surrounding this issue.

It reminds me of when Princess Diana died and there was so much speculation about why the Queen did not earlier come about and make a media statement concering the event. The reason probably was that she was tending to her own family. The bad publicity was shooting down Diana's children's grandmother, someone they loved, and it isn't inconceivable that the bad opinion would have hurt the children.

Is it the same with the 3ABN issue?

What good does such discussion do? Who is lifted up by tearing down?

For me, the way the issue was handled here (by Stan's decision) made Clubadventist a classier place. Even if the court decision did not go favourably to 3ABN, I appreciated not having it before me in the gossip mode here on the board.

Please let me AMEN that statement. I too appreciate that 3ABN was not made a source of redicule by this Adventist Forum. A special thanks Stan for making your/our Adventist Forum a 'Classier place' to be, and 'avoiding as far as possible' the spreading of the tales that were going around on other "Adventist" forums about 3ABN.

Blessings,
SherryLee

It is not just with 3ABN but with so many things that we really need to be cautious before jumping on a bandwagon. There were a lot of people that knew people on the "inside" and felt they had some privileged information that made what they were saying above being called gossip. Now we find out that the "privileged information" was wrong. It was bogus.

3ABN marches on. Praise the Lord!

Stan:

"Should those who caused this pay for the expenses 3ABN had with regard to the audit?
Probably, will they? I doubt it."

The only way CR would pay any $ is if the IRS determined that their reports were frivolous and the IRS fined them. In that case they would be open to civil suit by 3ABN.

Stan:

"What about Linda? This is my opinion.

Now, I doubt, if a Conference, or other Adventist Media, would hire her, and that is such a waste of her talents and gifts."

Hm, "taking down 3ABN b/c of their love and respect for Linda" WOULD be a frivolous reason for making such a report to the IRS. I do know that this reporting was experienced on the receiving end as frivolous - and vindictive.

Some people just need to get their own lives rather than meddling in and ruining other people's lives, eh?

Stan, after a long blackout on the 3abn discussions here, now that you have shared your opinion and allowed other too as well, does this mean that 3abn discussion blackout has been lifted? Are all others welcome to comment too or just those that are noncritical of 3abn?
